It's a holiday here, 4th of July, and I am wondering what I am doing up so early. Reminded me of this fellow, so I thought I would share him.I wandered up on him and took several shots. Take a close look at his eye. The eyelid is closed. I should say one of his eyelids is closed. Ducks have an eyelid they use under the water, an eyelid for blinking and then a eyelid like you and me.
When I wandered up on him -- he was apparently sleeping. He stayed like that, then opened his eyelid to take note of me. Assured that I was no threat, he closed his eyes and continued to enjoy his nap in the warm sun and cool water.
You should do the same -- go back to bed. Take a nap. Enjoy sleeping in. It's a holiday

If only I could sleep in :) I have about ten years before I see that as a remote possibility. Enjoy your day, and I had no idea that knowledge about duck's eyelids. So, now, if I ever win alot of money on jeopardy, I will have you to thank!

Ducks are beautifull animals. But now in Poland this animals are not so welcome. I mean our president and prime minister are twins. Maybe you've heard. They surname is Kaczyński, what can be related with Kaczka - Duck.
ReplyDeleteThis people are obsesed about communists (all left wings politics are communists for them), homosexuality. It's a very, very long list what is a dangerous for them. They don't trust anybody except a very few people. Easier you could say what is not dangerous for them. Maybe few things.
Anyway the cross out yellow duck is a symbol of oppose to them and their politic.
