The Saenger. The dream sellers of my childhood.

The old Saenger Theater in New Orleans.  The photo arouses long sleeping images of Saturday mornings watching Sinbad the Sailor movies.  Today I would probably laugh at how hokey they were. But back then, we lived in fear that the next adventure with a dragon could be his last.  We clung to a tugging believe that he was the true hero that could escape any peril.

A Trace of light rationing

Another flower shot from my walk along the Trace in Mandeville one Saturday recently.  Even in the bright afternoon sun, sunlight is a precious commodity along the shadowy lane that weaves from Mandeville to Abita Springs.
