Beaming an answer

The grandkids were in this week and you can't spend a week in New Orleans without beignets from Cafe Du Monde. It's some kind of law of nature or something. What kid wouldn't like the deep fried pastries smothered in powdered sugar. Of course when we asked our grandson, Sullivan, shown here "do you like the beignets?" we didn't get a single word for an answer. This is the only answer we got.

The smile says it all. (I smile like that too when offered beignets. Who wouldn't?)

Now THAT's an enthusiastic response. His eyes and smile say it all. Great shot of your cutie pie, Steve. Hope you continue to enjoy your visit from the fam.

OH beignets from Cafe Du Monde... I went to school in Mobile so I got a chance to visit New Orleans a lot.

That's how I look when I have beignets. Cafe du Monde... sigh... haven't been there since the mid 1990s.

Great picture but hey, kinda hard to mess up with subject matter as adorable as he is! :-)

Cheers,

Laurie

We love beignets! Our 13yr son is looking forward to our visit in October to New Orleans. Our last visit was just before Katrina hit. We love New 'orleans, having been there on 10 vacations....Keep up the good work. Love your photos.

I think that's a rousing YES!

However, I must admit, I do not really like beignets... or any type of donuts really. So it would be easy for me to pass them up. I do like to have a coffee at the CdM though. :)

Such a sweet experience and what lucky grandkids to have grandparents to regularly take them to the Cafe du Monde, one of my favorite places in the world.
