"Canstruction"

Food for thought
This team is building an elaborate structure from cans and food packages at the annual Canstruction event at the Shops of Canal Street in New Orleans. These innovative and creative structures are designed and built by various New Orleans architecture firms and schools. All food items are donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

The event sponsored by the American Institute of Architects New Orleans chapter gave each team 12 hours to erect the can creations.

You can't see me

Hide and Go Seek
So, I'm travel back from Lafayette last night and off to my right the sun is playing with a chalk and waterpaint sketch across the sky. As I drove, I said to myself "this is going to be the mother of all sunsets."

I was wrong. I drove past the clouds that the sun was using for the painting lesson. But when it finally got down to the horizon, I pulled over and started shooting hoping to catch those last fiery moments. It tried to play hide and seek behind some trees so I couldn't see where it was going.

But, when your the sun, it's hard to hide.

I promise this is the last sunset picture for a while....Unless the sun gets playful again.

There's a state park in Texas that you may have passed through without knowing it. It doesn't give up it's secrets easily, but it does give them up -- today on Pixel Eyed.
