I missed the New Orleans Jazz Festival because we were out of town and other commitments. But just to take note of the event, probably the most notable on the music calender here, I post this picture from the French Quarter Festival of Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots.As it turns out they were on the stage for the Jazz Fest. I love their bluezy cajun swing -- blues with a little ching-a-chang from the squeeze box and that signature cajun washboard.

I love your blog. A group of HS students from the Community Center where I work went down to Broadmoor in April for a week to help - it was an amazing experience for them! I'll show them your blog!
I would love to go to the New Orleans Jazz Festival. When is it? By the way I love your Blog it's fantastic.
That's where a photo just isn't enough. I'd so wish I could hear them. Cajun music is wonderful!
