A favorite pastime of tourists and locals alike is browsing and shopping at the artists' booth lined around Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans.Just for argument's sake, the picture below is the same but run through FX-Foundry's Pastel Sketch filter. The filtered one is very cool. I have to say I like that one better.
I really like the second one. It's in the category of the sepia or black and white pictures. They only look great when used sparingly. Just because I chose the art doesn't mean that I don't like the first picture. I remember walking down that street 50+ years ago.
I really like the pastel chalk picture. Its very arty.
Great Photos. They make me miss New Orleans very much. I especially like the bridge pics. I crossed that bridge for 28 years. If fact I crossed it when there was only one span.
You make me homesick. And that's hard to do. The first one is a good shot, but that pastel treatment is great. You could sell those at the Square...
I love the second one. Whatever you've done make it a work of art somehow. Extraordinary what technology can do with a little help from a human. What would the Impressionists have said?

The filter is really neat looking, although like someone already said, only when used on the right material.

As far as judging just the pictures alone, I like the second one. But, the first one makes my heart long for a trip back to NO!
Definitely the pastel filtered one . . . that works so well on this photo.
