Beignet bandit

If you've never had a beignet in New Orleans, they are what's not left on the plate. Essentially a square donut covered with a generous dusting of powdered sugar, they are a favorite of all New Orleanians -- everybody from Louisiana even. Oh, heck, let's make that the world.

Here, my grandson Sullivan, the pile of beignets vanished, gets in every last lick of the powdered sugar. This is at the Cafe Du Monde at the Lakeside Mall.

That beignet was finger-licking good!

I have not tried them. To tell the truth, I dare not eat those as I think I would take on two kilos if I did!

Hi Steve, always a pleasure to come here, in particular today with the Cafe du Monde beignets...
Loved to see the sunbathing buddies (great shot) and the Great Egret pictures!
I'm still posting on the Greek Isles at Blogtrotter. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!

Yummy ~~~ I don't think there is a prettier sight than a face covered with powdered sugar!!

If I was there I'd be sticking my finger on that plate too.

Such a cute picture!!

I never heard of a Beignet before, but judging by at how your Grandson was having such a great time licking off his fingers it is must of been really good for sure.

Cute picture.
