The rain blew through New Orleans this morning with a swish and smash -- the skies were arguing and the trees trying to dance to keep them happy. Then as fast as it had come, it moved on. Now just a drizzle every few minutes. In about an hour we will probably see sunshine sneaking through.

That's lovely, photo and description.
Beautiful image! Poetic post!
We had about the same thing here, Steve. I got up and was drinking coffee and looking at comments on my blog around 4:30 a.m. when it began to rain and rain on the skylights in my office makes a racket.
Anyway, that stopped and then in began in earnest when sky was bright and it rained about 3/4 of an inch. I went out later on today and took some rain-soaked flowers that sparkled in the sunshine much like the water on your leaves are sparkling.
Nice photo.
Sparkling image. Again the image in the portal made to stop by and once again I find it is your handiwork. Superb shot.
But look at the lovely raindrops it left behind. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Don't you love the air after rain - so clear and so sweet smelling. Lovely photo Steve!!!!
Wow! Those raindrops are amazing. We got about 1.5 inches in an hour...most at one time since I can remember!
Perfect photo!
We didn't get much rain here in Georgia. The forecast called for thunderstorms but we just got a drizzle. My daughter was at Six Flags in Atlanta and it started pouring. They all went and bought ponchos and then it stopped!
I love the word picture you painted and the photo to go with it. Good stuff Steve.
I LOVE THIS!
Such a beautiful image, love the dark deep colours and details.
