Ruffling feathers.
I suppose someone told him, "go ruffle your own feathers." This was at the rookery on the Audubon Park lagoon in New Orleans today -- before it started pouring rain and I scurried for shelter.
Wow. An impressive collection of color feathers. Nothing I have seen on the blogs this morning is any better, Steve.
Happy Father's Day to the fathers in your family and to you, Steve.
I hear cardinals, Carolina wrens, grackle babies wanting fed, and other nature sounds and the sky in the east is getting brighter and the air is cool and the doors are open and so are the windows. I am blessed on this Father's Day morning.

Did the duck scurry for shelter too!) Wonderful shot Steve!
Thanks for the award. My first from the Blogging community.
Your ducks got lovely colours.
Such a handsome duck. Do they take shelter too when it rains, or do they stay in the water? ;-)
Hello! Very nice picture. I have never seen one close up.
What a wonderful picture, Steve! You captured it at the right time!
Hilda, Ducks try to shelter from heavy rain.

Those are just the most wonderful colors Steve, and I love how they can twist around to ruffle their feathers.
Beautiful shot-what great colours, too.
