Do you believe that children have a secret language that they use to tell adults what they want? I am trying to figure out exactly what it is that our granddaughter, Sophie, is trying to say here. She passed up the lobster, the crabs, the steaks, the ice cream, and the frozen food at the Louisiana Children's Museum grocery store and started clearing out the vegetable section.
You heard me. She cleared it out. They weren't having a sale on veggies, so that couldn't be it. Maybe she was just attracted by the color. Or maybe by the grab-able sizes.
Notice the bandanged foot. Maybe she was trying to tell us veggies will help make it heal.
I don't know what the message was. I guess adults are just slow to understand what kids are trying to tell us.

Cute picture Steve! She is adorable.
I haven't taken my grandson there yet...might have to plan on doing that.

What a cutie. I do know little kids love kid-sized shopping carts. We have some grocery stores around here that let kids run some around the store. It's a good strategy - expensive for parents to buy what the kids put in the cart. My daughter chose a $26 piece of cheese last time (we did put that back).
Hee! I personally think it's the bright colors. If you actually put the food on her plate in its "edible" form, she probably wouldn't like it as much. :)
Diva: I have never heard of $26 cheesecake. I hope it tastes good with that kind of price tag!!!
Oh, she is darling! My 3 year old loves to grab vegetables at the store, too, and I've often made it home with extra cucumbers and peppers. (Now, if only she would EAT them when we get home...)
I took my son there years ago and he did the same selection process. I haven't figured it out yet, but there must be something to it.
Great shot!
What ever her message, your message to us is the fondness you have for this little one - and it is a joy to for us to see!
She's too cute, Steve. I suspect she's grabbing all the veggies cos she loves the shapes and colours.
This is a nice photograph and she is probably a lot smarter than anybody knows.
Have a nice weekend,

Don't kids love to shop...And I think she must love those bright colors too. When I make a chicken or steak kabob....I must have the colors....She's just planning her meal for the evening.
What a doll! We are lucky people to have grandchildren to love.
what a cutie!!! All the little ones I know anymore, seem to love their veggies. My grandson prefers broccoli over french fries, and he's 6.
