Bridge skimming

Every month, City Daily Photo blogs participate in Theme Day on the first of the month. Theme this month was bridges. You can see my post below for this month. This was my second choice.
These seagull were heading out from the dock to scoot under the Crescent City Connection bridge which connects the East Bank and West Bank of New Orleans

I like both photos. They made me think of some films from the 50s. I think I like the "second choice" better, maybe because of the birds.

Well, I am NOT the only one who ends up with more pictures to post, than posts to picture them! Another neat shot Steve. Cool. Love seagulls.
Thanks,
Wayne

This one is nice too!

Makes me think of those stunt airplanes that fly under bridges. Those birds are doing their own stunts here.

What beautifully graceful seagulls. The Concord has nothing on them. :)

Altho it felt like I had visited ALL the blogs yesterday, I somehow missed yours, but I'm glad that I've found it plus today's. Good info on theme day photo and love the seagulls on this one.

Many, may years ago I was a deckhand on the Delta Queen and I can dimly recall going under that bridge - and every bridge up to St. Paul. Sometimes the boat's calliope would be playing and you'd briefly hear an echo as we passed under the steel girders.
