Jax Brewery

The Jax Brewery building is an attractive building in the French Quarter in New Orleans at the corner of Jackson Square. The brewery was a New Orleans icon for years. The building is mostly empty -- a victim of a slower tourism numbers since the hurricane. But, with tourism picking up, I expect it will be humming with commerce again.

I don't think I have seen it. It looks unreal, like a fairy tale castle.

Happy Christmas, Steve.

Beautiful building and beautiful pictures lately!
Sorry for having taken so much time to come back here, but I will not tell you about my last weeks… The problem is that the coming ones don’t seem much nicer, at least up to January 14th, 2008…
But let’s forget all that; I wish you a nice holiday season and I’ll try to come back here to divert from less interesting tasks!

I had to look up Jax Brewery: I'd never heard of it. It has quite a history. What a great factory building. It's a shame that the trend for architecturally great factory buildings didn't continue.
