Theme Day -- passing into the French Quarter.

January 1 is Theme Day on City Daily Photo -- more than one hundred sites participate.  The theme for this start of the month is Paths and Passageways.  I chose this shot of St. Ann Street in the French Quarter.  It passes alongside Jackson Square.  It is a kind of passage way between the parking lots and Mississippi river venues  and the heart of the French Quarter along Royal and Bourbon Streets.

Steve, I love this shot of St. Ann. It makes me want to head on down to the Cafe du Monde for coffee and beignets.

I really like your new wide, stretch template that displays your photos bigger and more clearly and I am thinking of converting mine likewise. Did you have to backup your old template and go through any hassles to convert? Please clue me in before I make the change and crash and destroy my blog. Thanks in advance.

Nice shot Steve. I like the old looking streets. Wet and with reflections.

I missed the theme day somehow but I wrote in my Memories blog about the roads of my youth and how they were to travel in the winter time.

Hi Steve! Lovely picture! How I miss it... Somewhere on the right is the Jackson statue and further down (if I remember well) the beignets du Cafe du Monde. And the best jambalaya I have ever had, in a restaurant on a corner of the Square... ;(

Long time no see you at Blogtrotter! New Delhi waits your comments… ;)
Have a great week!

Nice BLOG and great pictures. Editilla of New Orleans Ladder, told me about your blog. I wish my template was that wide...sometimes my pictures get cut off. Nice seeing a GOOD New Orleans blog.
