More blue shutters. Thought I would do one more house of blue shutters before I moved on. This is another French Quarter house with the bright blues. Actually, I am surprised, but the colors work. But then again, I've got the New Orleans slant on color schemes -- I think green, gold and purple go together.

Fabulous! I believe this is almost the blue used in St. Tropez. Here the shutters are more likely to be a pale turquoise.
Spectacular house!
This is a delightful image, and the hues of both colours make the building very inviting. Very nice!!
Super photo.
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. Glad to hear that your heatwave broke for a bit.
love love love the blue...i think it adds character.....
I agree with Jilly. This picture also reminded me of the South of France. Maybe Provence.
The colors in the French Quarter are outstanding. Sometime I will have to dig into my archives and post a few from our last visit.
Nice shot Steve.
Steve,
This photo brings to mind a lot of fond memories of living in New Orleans (was stationed there in the US Coast Guard in the late 80s). Missing the chickory coffee and beignets, too. :-)
Those colors really do work. Think of the courage it took for the painter to try that out, and the joy when it looked so beautiful.
Blue is a fabulous colour. It works everywhere, even in the shutters!
Enjoy your weekend!
Love shutters no matter what clolour but these colours are so vivid and attractive.
Love yesterday's duck too!!!
