Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans

There were sweet, deep-throated melodies from a street musician who was plying his trade outside of Cafe Du Monde one morning.

We were there with the family for the famous beignets-- deep fried bisquits avalanched in powdered sugar. Cafe Du Monde is a nice place to take a rest right in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans, across from Jackson Square. With its outdoors covered patio, it's also a great place to gawk at all the passers-by.

Fantastic photo. And, now I have to somehow enjoy my breakfast without any beignets.

Well done Steve. It's reassuring when institutions like Cafe Du Monde survive decade after decade. I guess New Orleans is that sort of city.

Ah, the memories. I've gone to Cafe du Monde every time I've been to NOLA. And I love that song too! Cheers!

Steve, my heart knows what it means, for sure. I also know that this photo represents so much of what New Orleans means. Thank you!

It must be nice to walk down the street and have a choice in what kinds of pictures to take. And you got a nice one.

Steve, Yes, I do know what it means to miss New Orleans, and your great shot reminded me of how fun it is to sit at the Cafe du Monde and people-watch...something I have spent untold hours doing in years past.

Thanks for this shot which gave me another flashback to happy times in the Quarter.

Oh, I so know what it means to miss New Orleans. And, you just had to go and say "beignet". Agh! Now I'm really missing my beautiful city.

Fabulous, marvellous shot, Steve and what great music. It's playing now and I so love it. I've never been to New Orleans to my regret but yes, I can well imagine what it means to miss it.
