In the tight spaces of the French Quarter of New Orleans, balcony living is an art. This balcony filled with ferns, flags and flying angels, serves as a fresh air get away and a chance to observe the goings-on on the street below.

The balcony is a showcase for privacy but being able to see "the world pass by." The ferns are huge, very like two of my sons. Guess I need to take a photo of them, too.
This is kind of like the old midwestern front porch. Everyone sat there and watched the world pass by. Nice photo.
The balcony with ferns, flags and flying angels is just gorgeous! Seeing it I feel much freshness around! Great photo!
Thanks for your visiting on my place and nice comment!
Hi Steve,
This is a very pretty area it even look French, have you ever been in france?
We go there almost once a year on Holiday, in summer. Than we go to the middle just under Bordeaux and more south, We like the west coast the most because there's always more wind and in Summer we need that! Otherwise its too hot.
Bye have a great weekend:) JoAnn
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Beautiful balconies!
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
Absolutely gorgeous. Only in New Orleans that kind of beauty can be found.
I think this is a very beautiful view...I love ferns and are you the observer on the balcony?
This is just how I imagine New Orleans. It's so good to know this part of the city is still here. Lovely photo.
Thanks so much for your Comments whilst I was away.
This photo gives an exotic atmosphere.
The owner of that balcony must be so proud of it... it's so lush
Yet again, this reminds me of Savannah....we so this ornate lattice iron work all over the place there...it;s very charming :)
Oh, how I love New Orleans's architecture and lifestyle; I'm so happy with all of your photos and the memories they bring.
That's what I was talking about a few comments back. Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful shot. Just one of the 100's of things I love about New Orleans. Can't wait for our vacation in "your neck of the woods" in October.
