Ferns, flags, fresh air and flying angels

In the tight spaces of the French Quarter of New Orleans, balcony living is an art. This balcony filled with ferns, flags and flying angels, serves as a fresh air get away and a chance to observe the goings-on on the street below.

The balcony is a showcase for privacy but being able to see "the world pass by." The ferns are huge, very like two of my sons. Guess I need to take a photo of them, too.

This is kind of like the old midwestern front porch. Everyone sat there and watched the world pass by. Nice photo.

Hi Steve,
This is a very pretty area it even look French, have you ever been in france?

We go there almost once a year on Holiday, in summer. Than we go to the middle just under Bordeaux and more south, We like the west coast the most because there's always more wind and in Summer we need that! Otherwise its too hot.

Bye have a great weekend:) JoAnn

Absolutely gorgeous. Only in New Orleans that kind of beauty can be found.

Beautiful shot. Just one of the 100's of things I love about New Orleans. Can't wait for our vacation in "your neck of the woods" in October.
