Stick-to-it-ness
I have always been amazed at the places that life will sprout out. This little plant is clinging to the side of a building in the French Quarter in New Orleans, a couple stories off the ground.
Well I hope you climb up there and take it down, carefully, and plant it somewhere around your house, Steve. That would be nice and the plant would be grateful. Nice photo to capture all of that.
We have maple trees growing in roof gutters here all of the time. And they don't make it for long.

Maybe it's an air plant which doesn't need soil to grow. Maybe it gets enough water from the humidity in the air?!
I also find it amazing where plants end up growing. Nice capture.. :)
