Queen Anne

This is the kind of house I could fall in love with. The trim work really brings out the features of this old Queen Anne House on Carondolet in New Orleans. At the same time it is not over powering.

Some other "house" shots I found today on City Daily Photo blogs :

Bossi House -- Novara Daily Photo
Galeria de arte -- West Sacramento
...yellow door... -- Sheki, Abzerbaijan
Jelsabakken -- Stavenger Daily Photo

Beautiful house. I like American houses. There are often more "colorful" than ours.

I might meet a professor from NO this week (from Loyola Univ.).

I wonder how these stylish houses got the title "Queen Anne"? They are nothing like a English "Queen Anne" as built in 1714.

I'm familliar with the American style, but tell me Steve, do you know why it's called Queen Anne?

Oh yes, I love that house too. Is there room for my hubby, myself, and Molly the dog?

Gorgeous house - it reminds me of the one in 'The lady and the tramp'!

A great house! Reminds me of the mansions you get in Pacific Heights over in San Francisco. Greetings from Toruń Daily Photo here in Poland. We currently have a series of night shots of this beautiful city. Come and check them out sometime!

It so reminds me of the "southernmost house" in Key West.
