This old house

I haven't driven by this house on Prytania Street in New Orleans for a few weeks, but the last time I did, it was still in need of some polishing. I watched as they made a lot of repairs back in the beginning of the year.

You probably can't pick this up from the picture, but there are a several curved-glass windows on the house. I can't even imagine what something like that cost to replace.

When I maximized the photo, the curved windows were pretty clear. The house is going to be a real beauty when finished. I'd love to live in it. PS. I have a small curved curio cabinet, and I can testify that curved glass will be expensive.

We have a few old houses like that in Terrell, both also need some work. Maybe I will try to get a picture of them.

Lovely old house in need of a face lift. My first thought as I viewed it was of the orange topper - it reminded me of the orange traffic cones that often line our streets that are under construction. Maybe this house is under re-construction, indicated by it's huge "traffic cone"!

I love those old houses. Big part of the New Orleans charms. I hope it will find a new life soon.

Nothing has changed but it always looks like they are getting ready to paint. I sold a condo to one of my clients who was renting here from the lady that owns it. It has several apartments. She was getting great rent since the owner liked her.

One day it may be painted.
